Allow me to introduce myself. I have lived on The Vineyard since 1950. I graduated from MVRHS, attended college and received a BFA degree. I owned and operated a local business in Edgartown for 30 years, recently retiring. My background includes building 2 homes and finishing the interior of 2 others. I have had experience with plumbing and electrical work and building from start to finish. I am comfortable with the computer, digital and film photography, and use of the internet. I have designed and built several web sites, both personal and business. I spend my winters on The Vineyard and as a side line work with seasonal residents who are interested in having a responsibile connection with someone while their vacation home is unoccupied. I offer quick checks, interior check, oversee repairs, make appointments, email digital photos to your clients, bank, or insurance co. I can respond to most any emergency or needs you may have. Like you I also own a summer cottage some 300 miles away and have the same concerns you might have. Finding comfort in having someone local to ease those concerns is very important. I charge $48.00 for a simple check. unless your property is in a remote area of The Vineyard, then charges will have to be discussed. When you need a responsible and trusting person to care for your property I may be the person you can feel comfortable with. . I am aware of the things you worry about, forgot to check, shut off, weather issues, etc.. I understand your concerns and I'm here to help with your peace of mind when it comes to your Martha's Vineyard cottage or home. I will work with you if some days are more important than others and there are no conflicts in my schedule. In the event there is a conflict I will let you know and use the next available day.
