This is the one winter I remember the
whole harbor was frozen and covered
with snow. The other view is looking
toward Falmouth and Vineyard Sound
and is mostly frozen as well.

Most of these photos were taken in the West Tisbury area
around Indian Hill and are typical of the Vineyard after a
heavy snow, also typical is the short period of time that Martha's Vineyard retains it's picturesque splendor. The Vineyard was back to normal by late afternoon and the snow was gone in a couple of days.
